I love storytelling and was honored to have three of my short plays brought to life on stage during my school's One Acts Showcase. I wrote and directed "Showbiz" in my sophomore year. Then, as a junior, I wrote and directed "Block Party," based on my neighborhood's annual block party. My senior show was "Jose B. James and the Curious Case of the Missing Cupcake." The audience assumed it would simply be a feel-good, popcorn, kid detective story. Instead, I took them on an emotional journey where a peculiar little girl struggles at school and home but eventually finds her "Watson."
